  6.         plotting utility.  It was originally intended as graphical 
  7.         program which would allow scientists and students to 
  8.         visualize mathematical functions and data.  Gnuplot supports 
  9.         many different types of terminals, plotters, and printers 
  10.         (including many color devices, and pseudo-devices like LaTeX) 
  11.         and is easily extensible to include new devices.  Gnuplot 
  12.         handles both curves (2 dimensions) and surfaces (3 dimensions).
